If your sim is a young adult or older, they won't be able to do romantic interactions with teens. So you'll know the person is young adult or older if they can.
Elders are very obvious; they have grey hair and hunch over when they walk.
Young adults and adults, I haven't figured out a way to tell the difference, except by knowing the sim when my sim was younger.

Try to get it to say "blah blah thinks you are being extremely irresistable" and pick the option to say "ask to break up with blah" and she might break up with him, might not. If she does, then try to get it to say she's being extremely irreistable again and pick the option "propose going steady"
