I'm going to buy it, so I need to know something more...What is the 'new dating game' in the Sims 2 Nightlife?
It's basically the same as the headmaster coming for dinner or a party as for the time limits, but you have to go by the other persons wants(which they show) in order to get a dream date faster. There is a matchmaking lady and the more money you pay her, the more compatiable you and your date will be. The cars are awesome too. And there is a downtown. Me i just build my own downtown like lot, mostly bars %26amp; nightclubs in my own neighborhood because the downtown loading screen takes forever.

Try to get it to say "blah blah thinks you are being extremely irresistable" and pick the option to say "ask to break up with blah" and she might break up with him, might not. If she does, then try to get it to say she's being extremely irreistable again and pick the option "propose going steady"

What is the most up to date Sims game out there nowdays? I haven't had or played it in about three years now and mine I played on the computer until it took up so much space I had to delete it. Is it better if played on Playstation 2? I think Sims 2 is the newest but not sure. Sims 2 is the latest (as in, there is no Sims 3 yet). I haven't played all the different platforms but I think most people would agree that it is best on the PC... that's where the game is the most in depth and the PC version has the most expansions by far.
Speaking of expansions, currently available are University (send your sims to University - they have a new age called "Young Adult" that applies only while they are in uni), Nightlife (send your sims downtown - a much larger selection of social interactions, and a date mini game thing), Open For Business (your sims can own their own business - pretty much anything you can think of can work as a business), Pets (your sims get pets! actually, just dogs, cats, and caged animals... still worth it though), Seasons (they experience the Seasons with various different activities, they can also garden and fish), and four different themed "stuff packs". Bon Voyage (take your sims on vacation) is the next expansion pack that will come out.
As you can probably tell by now, I love this game! I played the first Sims and I have had Sims 2 for PC since it came out. Okay, so i have the sims 3
and there is a problem, my sims cannot date or get married if they have already been with someone else. And i know that whole thing that you have to wait until they have liked each other a lot. But they do, and the only thing they cannot do is date or get married. They can Woohoo...
Anyways, if anyone has run into this problem, or has fixed it. can you please tell me how to fix it.

i had the same problem but i realised what the problem was it turns out my male sim (who moved in as a friend) was already in a relationship with someone else, what i did was looked in to the relationship section at the bottom of the screen, invited the girl round (it should say that he/she is in a relationship at the bottom of someones picture, if you keep looking you should find it) and i pressed mean %26gt; break up, now my two sims are happily married with a baby.

The whole idea of dating sims and visual novels and that sort of thing has only recently been picking up in the west, and so far the companies doing licensing/translations have only stuck to PC games, since they are the easiest and cheapest.Are there any English anime dating sims for PS2, PS3, Wii or DS?
Not very many, because consoles are NOT an open market and the big companies are highly reluctant to put the games out in English, since people are awfully nasty about the whole concept. There are SEVERAL rpgs with a little bit of dating aspect to them. Not so many games that are really strongly about dating (and most of them are on the DS)
Your best bet is Sakura Wars: So Long My Love, which is half dating sim and half mecha combat game, available for the PS2 or the Wii.
On the DS you can find a couple of titles like Princess Debut (meant for girls, and youngish girls at that), Sprung, or Brooktown High. Beyond that, you have to look at RPGs or sims like Harvest Moon, which often include romance on the side.
Mostly, if you want an English dating sim you need to stay on the PC, where it's possible for indies to make small games and sell them themselves without having to get a big company's permission. They don't sell much, but they need a much smaller number of sales to stay afloat than they would on consoles. Not very many, because consoles are NOT an open market and the big companies are highly reluctant to put the games out in English, since people are awfully nasty about the whole concept. There are SEVERAL rpgs with a little bit of dating aspect to them. Not so many games that are really strongly about dating (and most of them are on the DS)
Your best bet is Sakura Wars: So Long My Love, which is half dating sim and half mecha combat game, available for the PS2 or the Wii.
On the DS you can find a couple of titles like Princess Debut (meant for girls, and youngish girls at that), Sprung, or Brooktown High. Beyond that, you have to look at RPGs or sims like Harvest Moon, which often include romance on the side.
Mostly, if you want an English dating sim you need to stay on the PC, where it's possible for indies to make small games and sell them themselves without having to get a big company's permission. They don't sell much, but they need a much smaller number of sales to stay afloat than they would on consoles. I need english. But so far they have none. If there are some with english i don't mind if they have some H stuff. But I at least need the name to be in japanese and the cover not to look as H-y. I've been studying japanese for about 2 month (so i know how to read, barely understand) but I have notice after playing Love revo Ds, it was pretty hard to understand but I did eventually did finish the game with a good ending (after a couple of tries), The game help my reading a lot, but When I heard the voices in the PC version It would of helped SO MUCH.

Good Anime Dating Sims?
I was watching Lucky Star this evening, and Konata was playing a dating sim... I remember that I used to play dating sims ALL THE TIME with my best friend, and now I really want to play one, lol.
So, I've been lurking around google, and I found a whole bunch of games on Newgrounds, but... Well, they last about ten minutes, and the art isn't to my liking. It looks like shitty fanart, to be blunt. And I'm sure there are some good ones buried in there, but I haven't found any yet.
So, I'm asking if there are any really good dating sims you know of. I don't really care if it's for girls or boys, if there's hentai, if it's yaoi/yuri, etc. I'm just looking for good graphics, manga style art, a good plot and decent character customization. I don't mind paying for a disc, as long as it's worth the money. I also don't mind downloading a game. A free dating sim would be preferred, of course, but I'm open to any and all suggestions.

Free is usually going to mean stuff people do for fun in their spare time so it's rarely going to be long or deep or fancy. The best *free* dating sim out there is RE: Alistair and that's really short.
Newgrounds games are almost always crap, don't bother.
Also, very near ZERO actual dating sims have character customisation. it's almost completely unheard of. the only one that does it is Magical Diary which just came out. nobody does custom characters because it would mess up the CGs to have to have a million different art options.
Or did you just mean customisation like your characters have stats to raise? (a 'sim' instead of a 'visual novel') There are a few more of those.

So, I've been lurking around google, and I found a whole bunch of games on Newgrounds, but... Well, they last about ten minutes, and the art isn't to my liking. It looks like shitty fanart, to be blunt. And I'm sure there are some good ones buried in there, but I haven't found any yet.
So, I'm asking if there are any really good dating sims you know of. I don't really care if it's for girls or boys, if there's hentai, if it's yaoi/yuri, etc. I'm just looking for good graphics, manga style art, a good plot and decent character customization. I don't mind paying for a disc, as long as it's worth the money. I also don't mind downloading a game. A free dating sim would be preferred, of course, but I'm open to any and all suggestions.

Free is usually going to mean stuff people do for fun in their spare time so it's rarely going to be long or deep or fancy. The best *free* dating sim out there is RE: Alistair and that's really short.
Newgrounds games are almost always crap, don't bother.
Also, very near ZERO actual dating sims have character customisation. it's almost completely unheard of. the only one that does it is Magical Diary which just came out. nobody does custom characters because it would mess up the CGs to have to have a million different art options.
Or did you just mean customisation like your characters have stats to raise? (a 'sim' instead of a 'visual novel') There are a few more of those.
The most popular _hentai_ games in English plotwise are probably Yume Miru Kusuri and KiraKira. Maybe Demonbane, I haven't played it. They aren't sims though, they're VNs.Good Anime Dating Sims?

Sims 3 new dating feature? from dating to a relationship?
I recently installed the game update and it has the new dating feature where rather than going from friends to going steady, the sims go on dates. Now my sims have been on various dates but i can't figure out how to get them to become boyfriend/girlfriend, it's not in any options! pleaaaaaaase help, it's bugging me like mad.

You just have to keep making them do "romantic" things, like before, until "propose to go steady" is an option. It's pretty much the same thing as before.

Dating Sims for Xbox 360?
Im a fan of the anime art style in dating sims but most of them are in japan but are there any good ones in the United States? The only one i have is record of the agarest war so if anybody had any games that they knew of that would be great,Dating Sims for Xbox 360?

There's a visual novel on xbox live arcade called chaos gateway but it is totally not a dating sim, it's some kind of horror game.

The best i could think of would be harvest moon (any of the series) or princess debut. i bought them at game stop =D but then the dating sim part isn't what the games concentrate on exactly, cuz there is dancing in princess debut and farming in harvest moon XD

I know in Japan there are countless dating sims (and I do not mean hentai) that can be purchased. And yet, I have only seen one or two here. The only one I have ever played that is not really as much of a dating sim as I would like is Harvest Moon Cute for the DS.

So my sim was a teenager and he was dating the baby sitter, but when he turned to a young adult it says they are still dating, but wont let me do anything romantic. She may leave your house immediately, or she might stick around and visit, but either way, the next time she comes over she will be a young adult and the romance options will be available again.

if you want the hentai ones in english there are really only a couple of places you can go, jlist or mangagamer. it's a pretty small market, they don't sell enough copies to be able to afford to bring over many games. so scan the lists of what they have, pick something you like, buy it, and download it!

On the 360? Enh, no. There's *one* visual novel I know of in the indie games section, but it's not a dating sim. I don't think they'd even allow those to be released on the Xbox, sorry. You need to go for the PC for that, because *anyone* can release a game on the PC.

There are a few options here.
I know you probably don't want to do this but if you buy the "Free Time" expansion pack you are allowed to grow up with up to 5 sims with you. So if you downloaded this pack before she grows up her boyfriend can grow up with her and they can get married.
I know a cheat that will make Jason grow up too. You must invite him over to your house, press "Ctrl+Shift+C" and then type in
"boolprop testingcheatsenabled true" then shift+click on a sim and select "Spawn" then select "Tombstone of L and D" after that a tombstone will appear and you click on it and it will say
"Add to Family..." select Jason and he will become part of your family. Then when Eliza grows up you can shift click on Jason and say "Age Transition" and he will be an adult too. They can fall in love again and move out together and get married!
The last option is to let her grow up and find another man. That's lame but if you don't want to cheat or buy a pack she will have to move on :(

There are a few options here.
I know you probably don't want to do this but if you buy the "Free Time" expansion pack you are allowed to grow up with up to 5 sims with you. So if you downloaded this pack before she grows up her boyfriend can grow up with her and they can get married.
I know a cheat that will make Jason grow up too. You must invite him over to your house, press "Ctrl+Shift+C" and then type in
"boolprop testingcheatsenabled true" then shift+click on a sim and select "Spawn" then select "Tombstone of L and D" after that a tombstone will appear and you click on it and it will say
"Add to Family..." select Jason and he will become part of your family. Then when Eliza grows up you can shift click on Jason and say "Age Transition" and he will be an adult too. They can fall in love again and move out together and get married!
The last option is to let her grow up and find another man. That's lame but if you don't want to cheat or buy a pack she will have to move on :(

How do I go places for dating on The Sims 2 Double Deluxe?
I have two Sims and i want to take them places for a date. I don't know how to. I really want them to get engaged and go on a date. Can someone PLEASE help me?How do I go places for dating on The Sims 2 Double Deluxe?
Here is what you do, you have two options:
1) You can click on the phone and select the option "ask sim out on a date", then you select the person you want to go out with out of the phone book. Make sure they have a high enough relationship or they may reject you.
Then it will ask you do you want to meet at your home or a community lot. Since you want to go to a community lot, click on it, choose what lot you want to go to, then it will ask you if you want to take a taxi or your car. If your sim has a car then you can choose that or you can just take a taxi. Your sim will be in the lot that you chose, but BE CAREFUL! If you don't get to the lot in a decent amount of time, your date will think that you stood them up. Then you have a good time on your date, the meter will show how it is going.
2) another option is have your sim and the sim you want to date go to the same lot, then click "ask%26gt;%26gt;on date" and it will begin immediately.
P.S. Getting engaged is very easy, just build up a romantic relationship between two adults until they are super in love. Then an option will appear, propose...click on it, and click "engagement" and your sim will propose

in my sims 3 i when i click on things to woohoo its says no lover on lot even if the romantic interest or sometimes even a husband/wife is there.
